Choose the Right Custom Beer Sign for Your Program

A sign is an electrical product with a mounting problem attached. Compare light source, input voltage, IP rating, weight, viewing distance and how it will be cleaned before you compare artwork.

Custom LED Neon Signs

LED neon flex is bonded to a cut acrylic backing and runs on 12 V or 24 V DC through an external driver. Expect roughly 5 to 7 W per meter, a service life in the 30,000 to 50,000 hour range and a minimum bend radius of a few centimeters. It survives transport; glass does not.

backlit-fabric-light-boxes

Backlit Fabric Light Boxes

A dye-sublimated textile print finished with a silicone edge pushes into an aluminum frame for a taut, edge-to-edge face. This is the right choice when the artwork is photographic or gradient — LED neon cannot render a photograph and should not be asked to. Fabric panels are removable, washable and replaceable, so one frame serves several campaigns.

Edge-Lit & Illuminated Acrylic Signs

A 3 to 5 mm cast acrylic panel, UV printed or laser cut, lit from the edge or from behind on standoffs. Edge lighting gives even glow on clear material; backlighting gives more punch on printed panels. Standoff mounts projected about 15 mm off the wall read cleanly. Cast acrylic resists yellowing better than extruded sheet in window sun.

outdoor-rated-ip65-beer-signs

Outdoor-Rated IP65 Beer Signs

Storefront and terrace signs need a sealed enclosure rated IP65 — dust-tight and protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction. Indoor units are typically IP20, meaning no water protection at all. Sealed drivers and gasketed cable entries are what actually keep rain out; an IP65 face with an unsealed joint still takes water. Ask for a drain hole at the lowest point.

Traditional Glass Neon Signs

Real glass tube bent by hand gives a depth and a tube shadow that LED flex imitates but does not match. It runs on a high-voltage transformer, is fragile in transit, draws several times the power of LED flex and costs more to crate and ship. Choose it for a permanent flagship wall, not a touring roadshow.

non-illuminated-printed-dimensional-signs

Non-Illuminated Printed & Dimensional Signs

UV-printed acrylic, PVC or foam-built lettering where there is no power at the position and no budget for a driver. A sign mounted above a lit shelf or under a bar spotlight often needs no illumination of its own — buying light you cannot plug in is a wasted line item. Foam-built lettering gives depth at a fraction of the weight of metal.

Branding and Customization

Illuminated signs are specified from the outside in: where it hangs, what it plugs into, then how it is lit and finished. We review the artwork against the light source before sampling.

LED Neon Color & Color Temperature

Single-color flex runs from warm 2700 K through 6500 K daylight, with RGB and addressable options for color-changing programs. Brand reds and ambers shift noticeably between 3000 K and 6000 K, so approve a lit physical sample rather than a screen proof.

Acrylic Backing Cut & Shape

The backing is cut as a letter-shaped outline, a full rectangle panel or a flush-cut shape with hidden fixings. Outline cuts read as floating light on a dark wall; full panels hide the cabling and mount more forgivingly on a rough surface.

Dimmers, Remotes & Controllers

Signs can ship with an inline dimmer, an RF remote, or a 0–10 V / DMX interface for venue control systems. Dimmers have to be matched to the driver load; an under-rated dimmer flickers at low brightness. Remote frequencies are matched to your market.

Power Supply & Market Plug

Drivers are supplied to your market — 110–120 V / 60 Hz or 220–240 V / 50 Hz input, with the matching plug and listed power supply documentation available on request. Cable length from driver to sign is fixed, so plan the socket position.

Light Box Fabric Print & Frame Finish

Choose single or double-sided fabric, an anodized or powder-coated frame, and whether the unit is wall-mounted, ceiling-hung or floor-standing. Fabric panels are removable and washable, which is how a multi-campaign frame gets reused. Double-sided units take two prints and roughly twice the LED array.

Check the Power and the Wall Before the Artwork

An illuminated sign fails for electrical and physical reasons long before it fails for visual ones. IP20 means no water protection, so an IP20 sign dies on a terrace at the first storm; IP65 is the minimum where rain or a pressure washer can reach. Where does the driver go? Every LED neon sign has a driver and a cable run, and a wall with no socket within two meters needs an electrician before it needs artwork. How much does it weigh? Acrylic-backed signs hang on standoffs into masonry or studs; a large light box needs rated hanging hardware. How is it cleaned? Solvent cleaners craze acrylic and cloud a printed face. And how far is it read from? Letter height drives legibility more than brightness does.

How to Specify a Sign Program That Quotes Cleanly

Send the sign type, finished width and height in millimeters, quantity per design, artwork or reference, input voltage and plug, indoor or outdoor, mounting method and destination port. Unit price is driven by total illuminated length or panel area, driver specification, IP rating, frame finish, dimmer option and quantity — one sign at 1,200 mm costs far more per unit than fifty at the same size. Freight is driven by crated volume, and a crate of air costs more than the sign inside it. Plan backward from the install date or the event opening: about seven days for a sample, twenty-five to thirty-five days for bulk, then ocean freight, customs and delivery to site. Send a photo of the wall and the nearest socket with your inquiry.

Frequently Asked Questions About Custom Beer Signs

Most illuminated programs start from 20 to 50 pieces per design. Single bespoke pieces are quoted as one-off projects with a higher unit cost, and signs under 600 mm sit at the low end of the range. Stock-size light box frames with custom fabric prints can start lower, and one frame can serve several campaigns.

Typical projects fall between USD 35 and 450 per sign. LED lengths, panel area, driver, IP rating, dimmer and crating all move the number. We tell you which element is driving cost before you commit, and whether changing the size saves more than changing the spec.

Yes. Sampling takes approximately seven days. Photograph the sample in the dark at your install position — a sign that reads well under factory lights can blow out on a phone camera in a dark bar. Check the cable length and where the driver will sit.

Indoor units are IP20 and have no water protection; outdoor units are built to IP65, dust-tight and protected against low-pressure water jets. Tell us the position at order time. An indoor unit used outdoors is the wrong product, and water ingress will not be repaired under warranty.

Yes. Inline dimmers, RF remotes and 0–10 V or DMX interfaces are available, matched to the driver load. Confirm the control protocol before production, because the interface is built into the driver, not added afterward, and a retrofit means replacing the driver. Dimming adds a small amount per unit.

A sample takes about seven days and bulk production twenty-five to thirty-five days. We ship from China to Europe, Latin America, the UK, Australia and Japan by sea or air, with large pieces wood-crated and consolidated with mixed POSM orders. Small LED neon signs can fly if the date is tight.
